Why add this.
Local health questions are constant and evergreen, and almost nobody answers them at a local level. This gives your readers a reason to come back between stories.
federal and public health data streams behind every page — CDC notifiable disease reporting, CDC wastewater surveillance, CDC hospital admissions, our news outbreak monitor, prediction-market outbreak signals, and travel health notices.
diseases monitored across all 50 states and DC, refreshed as each agency publishes.
Measured from our own surveillance tables
to publish a page — free for local newsrooms, with no paid upgrade to buy. Pages carry a small “Powered by My Risk Meter” credit and a link to our app; no advertiser, nothing sold to your readers.

Questions editors ask.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The live risk score, local disease activity, and outbreak news signals are all included at no cost, and there is nothing to upgrade to — we offer this free to newsrooms because the page introduces readers to our app. Pages display a “Powered by My Risk Meter” credit and a link to that app.
Do I need a developer?
No. Applying and branding are self-serve in the partner portal, and the hosted page needs nothing from your CMS — you just link to it. Pasting the embed snippet into a page template is the only step that may involve whoever manages your site.
Are there ads or sponsored content on it?
No. There is no advertiser attached and nothing is sold to your readers on the page. The only promotional element is our own “Powered by My Risk Meter” credit and a link to our app.
Where does the data come from?
Public health surveillance, not opinion: CDC notifiable disease reporting (NNDSS), CDC wastewater surveillance (NWSS), CDC hospital admissions (NHSN), and our own outbreak news monitor, which clusters reporting from credible outlets and health agencies. Every page links out to our methodology.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is general awareness information for adults — a health outlook for an area, not a diagnosis or treatment recommendation, and it never asks your readers for health details.
